LEARNING SUBSTANCE PAINTER FOR THE FIRST TIME

FIRST TIME fully learning this program by myself in the timespan given to me. I already renamed all my lowpolys and highpolys accordingly (matching suffixes of "_high or _low" to see results. Apparently my helmet and spike belt are the only meshes being read. So I'm running into a toughy here, and I can use any pointers right about now. I need to get ready to mask out my mesh layers so I can quickly get to painting before Tuesday afternoon.

I applied here the input setting of the Baking maps for Normals and Occlusions. However, I've been running into numerous amount of problems with trying to create baked maps into Substance Painter.

The mistake I ran into here was I couldn't find a way to import my Highpoly as a whole. Instead, I ended up importing them piece by piece which was a huge "no no" and led to this dark result.

To fix this, I decimated the highpolys to 20% and into Maya, recreated the names in the Outliner, and was able to export them as a whole OBJ for Substance Painter.

Learning from what I've done previously, I ATTEMPTED THE BAKING AGAIN, AND IT ONLY SEEM TO READ MY HELEMT AND SPIKE BELT but I don't know why that is. Everything else isn't readable I suppose. (This here is quite a puzzle to figure out. Hopefully I can gather some more info on this.)
